Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa Wednesday visited North Waziristan Agency and was briefed about the current security situation in the region. According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), General Bajwa visited the newly-constructed border forts and watched the fencing installed in the agency. He appreciated the efforts of troops deployed in the region for their speedy and quality work for border security measures.

The Army Chief was briefed about rehabilitation of temporarily displaced persons (TDPs) and progress of socioeconomic development projects in the area. On arrival, the Chief of Army Staff was received by General Officer Commanding Miranshah. The Chief of Army Staff also laid a wreath at the Martyrs' Monument, the ISPR added. Commander Peshawar Corps Lieutenant General Khalid Nazir Butt was also present.
